"It was one of life's most wonderful coincidences when I heard about Pavitra through a relative of mine. I thought furnishing an entire new house would be chaotic and a headache to execute, but working with Pavitra made it not only easy as a breeze but exciting as well. Not many designers would take a client's personal taste into consideration when planning a space, luckily I ended up with someone who does. I've met many interior designers but Pavitra's name always comes first to mind when friends or family ask me for a recommendation."

CROSBY STREET HOTEL

If you have wondered about my sudden disappearance from my Facebook page and my blog it has been for good reason. I have been out and about exploring the mean streets of New York City. A rather sudden and un-planned vacation, which is how most of my vacations take place. Though New York has an overabundance of museums, parks, historic sites to visit, I found solace walking the streets and I have walked for hours. The streets, I felt was where the core of the energy emerged from and it spiraled through every path, around every buildings into the fabulous open sky. It is the energy that makes this city unlike any other. A mélange of crazy people crammed the streets of times square, every color, shape and size, each bringing his own unique energy, but yet co-existing with the other.

Bringing my focus back on interiors, I would like to feature the Crosby Street Hotel a boutique hotel located on 79, Crosby street. This is a charming cozy boutique hotel, simple interiors but with an eclectic mix of fascinating items.

The streets of New York City have been mesmerizing they beckon me and it is hard to stay away for too long. I hope you have enjoyed this post… see you next week with yet another feature… till then “Stay Funky”

There really are some beautiful boutique hotels around these days and not all of them come with a hefty price tag.
